Hygienic, contactless, and safe to operate

Hygiene is particularly important indoors. The Cascade features a contactless activation sensor, allowing for convenient, touch-free water dispensing. Additionally, automatic shut-off after 20 seconds prevents unintended continuous flow.

Automatic flushing every 60 minutes ensures additional operational safety, reducing stagnant water and thus contributing to hygienic operation. An integrated backflow preventer also ensures the drinking water system is protected in accordance with standards.

Wall-mounted indoor water dispenser with water filter, hygiene monitoring, and optional self-sufficient power supply

Supply of a wall-mounted indoor water dispenser for public indoor areas, suitable for schools, universities, administrative buildings, public facilities, sports venues, and high-traffic indoor spaces. The water dispenser must be designed for direct connection to the drinking water network and must provide a hygienic, robust, and low-maintenance supply of drinking water.

The device must be a wall-mounted indoor water dispenser for surface mounting, featuring a high-quality, corrosion-resistant stainless steel housing, contactless sensor activation, automatic water flow shut-off after a maximum of 20 seconds, integrated automatic hygiene flushing at least every 60 minutes to reduce stagnant water, an integrated backflow preventer, a removable drain grate for cleaning, and a maintenance-friendly design with a removable housing. The standard device must be operable without a permanently required 230V power connection, for example, via battery operation with annually replaceable batteries.

The device must have a 1/2" drinking water connection and a DN 32/40 wastewater connection. The flow rate must be adjustable. The indoor water dispenser must be suitable for use in public areas and designed to allow cleaning, visual inspection, battery replacement, and periodic disinfection and flushing by trained operator, janitorial, or facility management personnel. A mandatory monthly maintenance contract must not be required for the intended operation of the standard device.

Optionally, a water filter system compatible with the water dispenser must be offered. The filter must be suitable for use with drinking water and integrated in a way that allows for easy filter replacement and maintenance. Filter type, filter performance, recommended replacement interval, and subsequent costs must be specified separately in the offer.

Optionally, a digital hygiene monitoring system must be offered, capable of digitally recording, displaying, and documenting hygiene-relevant operating data of the water dispenser. The system should be able to display, in particular, water temperature, flow rate, usage data, consumption volumes, operating status, and derived sustainability metrics such as plastic bottles saved and CO₂ quantities saved. The data must be digitally accessible to the operator; additionally, a report function for downloading reports for operators, building management, administration, or for coordination with relevant authorities, such as the health department, should be available. Automatic email reminders, especially for filter changes, maintenance intervals, or operator obligations, must be provided or offered optionally.

Optionally or alternatively, a self-sufficient energy version of the indoor water dispenser must be offered, where operation is entirely or partially powered by the existing water pressure, for example, via integrated water turbine technology. This version should be operable without a traditional external power supply and contribute to the regular movement of water in the supply line through increased water flow. This should reduce stagnant water, support fresh water exchange, and further promote hygienic operation. The bidder must clearly specify the technical requirements, particularly minimum pressure, maximum permissible pressure, flow rate, total water consumption, and compatibility with water filters and hygiene monitoring.
